“Safe & Healthy Congregations Training”, funded by the community and led by Faith Trust Institute, is a phenomenal training for church leaders to be prepared to respond to and prevent sexual and domestic violence. For several years, the ELCA Justice for Women program partnered with the Lutheran Community Foundation and Faith Trust to engage ELCA congregational leaders. For the first time, this training will be available ecumenically, not only to ELCA congregational teams. It is an exciting time for congregations to have local ecumenical connections on sexual and intimate partner violence. Please spread the word.
The Foundation is covering expenses for participants, including one night’s lodging. Congregations from Alaska, Washington, and Oregon are encouraged to apply. Follow this link for registration information. Applications are due by August 15.
