Anchorage CROP Hunger Walk switched to spring date

Dear Friends of the Anchorage CROP Hunger Walk,

Thank you for your dedication to fighting hunger in Anchorage and globally!  Last year, the Anchorage walk raised nearly $13,000 to support the anti-hunger programs of the Salvation Army and F.I.S.H. To give you some perspective on this, that amount represents 430,000 micro nutrient packets for malnourished children; 36,000 Ready-to-Eat meals for refugees fleeing disaster and living in camps; or 13 communities who now have access to clean water pumps and maintenance training.  You make a global and local difference!

This year, we are shifting the Anchorage CROP Hunger Walk to Spring so that we can build a base of volunteers and ensure the event is another great success!  In past years, the walk would have been held this upcoming weekend, so if you could help us spread the word that the date is moved, we’d be so appreciative.

I’ll be sending out a “Save-the-Date” email in the next couple of weeks once everything has been solidified, but in the meantime, if you have any questions or are interested in volunteering to help coordinate the event, feel free to contact me!

With Immense Gratitude,

Amber Blake
