I want to express my thanks and appreciation to everyone for your warm and loving welcome to me this past month. This has been true and expressed in many ways that I will not be able to name each one, but I will attempt to note a few! Thanks to Reta and Abbe for welcoming me at the airport, for taking me to the rental place to obtain a vehicle and for dinner following. Thanks to Bonnie and all who assisted at the parsonage in preparing everything down to a bed already made to towels to dishes and food in the cupboards and the refrigerator. How I appreciated that my first night, days – and I continue to enjoy food! Thanks to John and Kay for the loan of a bicycle. And thanks for Recycle for a Reason help with some “Alaska needs” for Debbi and me. Debbi’s first day in Alaska was a R4R day and Kay introduced herself to Debbi as “her personal shopper!” Thank you to Trustees and Finance for their efforts in providing a vehicle to use during my ministry time here. A special thank you to Donna for helping me get settled and organized in the office. Thanks to Terri and Betty for assistance in worship preparation and planning. I also thank everyone for your patience as I seek to learn names and Alaska. Please continue to help me! Thank you. I look forward to our ministry together through this pastoral appointment year.
