Easter Vigil

  • April 3, 8 p.m. – April 5, Easter Morning

Again this year, our congregation will keep the Easter Vigil in the sanctuary at UMCC. The Easter Vigil is traditionally the hours from Good Friday until Easter morning. During these hours at UMCC people sign up to be in prayer and meditation during these holy hours in the Sanctuary. Outside of the sanctuary is a board on which to sign-up for your hour(s) to be in prayer during the Easter Vigil. This year there will be more than on slot during each hour so that more than one person can be present during the vigil. If you would prefer that you share in the vigil in the sanctuary alone, please sign up for the entire hour. During the hours of darkness, an additional person will be in the building for security. You will be welcome to enter the UMCC building by the door facing the parsonage by the choir room. You will be provided the “key code” to obtain the key to open the door. Please sign up for one or more hours of the Easter Vigil. Bibles and materials will be available for your hour of prayer and meditation.
