For the past several years, the church has recycled aluminum cans and used the money generated from the sale to sponsor a child from the Christian Children’s Fund. Since our “child” is now 21, we’ve decided to use the money generated from cans for another purpose. The funds will now be used to support the P.E.T. project (Personal Energy Transportation), a project developed by United Methodist Men across the country that builds and gives away hand driven carts to aid legless individuals in third world countries.
